At Smith Print, we deploy a wide range of equipment to support our customers' goals. As the graphic arts industry has evolved, we have implemented technological advances to improve quality, efficiency and turnaround time. Our Heidelberg presses range from the 2 color Printmaster for corporate identity work up to the 40 inch 6 color Speedmaster. We add to this a 5 color Komori LSX with full coating capabilities. Our presses are supported with state-of-the-art digital prepress, including full digital imposition & digital proofing and a fully automated, environmentally friendly direct-to-plate workflow. Our in-house diecutting and bindery departments are well equipped for the production of your custom designs and special projects.

Overview Our prepress department is equipped with both Mac and PC workstations supported on a high speed, graphics ready network. Sophisticated technologies from Agfa, Rampage, Kodak and Heidelberg are utilized to provide state-of-the-art digital output, including full electronic imposition.
Scanning and image enhancement are supported with hardware and software from Agfa and Scitex as well as a color managed, ICC compliant digital proofing system.
Our fully automated, environmentally friendly direct-to-plate imaging workflow utilizes some of the most advanced technologies availble in the graphic arts community.

At Smith Print, you will find prepress operators fluent in the most current versions of design software who know how to interpret your designs and assure that your files are imaged according to quality specifications. Their knowledge includes layout and digital imposition, as well as color management and color editing capabilities.

Offset Press Department... It's about getting color and form where it needs to be.

Overview Our line of Heidelberg offset presses ranges from the 2 color Printmaster for business related printing all the way up to the 40", 6 color SpeedMaster 102 with autoplate and automatic blanket washers. Our Komori LSX529 with full coating capabilities provides added features including faster setup times. Automated ink settings relayed from prepress over our high speed network directly to the press help assure quality on every job.

More importantly, however, is the depth and experience of our press operators, who have received professional training at the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation. Their skills and focus on details produce consistent quality that our customers know they can rely on and have come to trust.

Die Cutting/Bindery/Finishing... It's about putting it all together.

Overview Our Bindery and Finishing departments are supported with a Heidelberg 22 x 30 inch die cutter, MBO and Baum folders, Polar and Saber cutters, a Vijuk high-tech Saddlestitcher, a Moll Pocket Folder/Gluer and drilling, scoring, round cornering, wafer sealing and shrink wrapping equipment.
